The city
of Paris has embarked on a programme of building cycle lanes in its
fight against pollution. It is originally a network of 50 km of lanes,
which should be extended in the future. Lanes reserved for cyclists,
1m50 wide, with appropriate signalling, have been set up. It should
be mentioned that a lot of effort still needs to be made to establish
a satisfactory network.
