The
11th is not a very well-known arrondissement, apart from the
famous Place de la Bastille. But if you are a little curious
you will find very pleasant streets with a special atmosphere
in this neighbourhood.
As
with the Bastille neighbourhood, the Rues de Charonne and
d'Oberkampf will charm lovers of rock music, motorbikes and
leather jackets. You can, however, stop at one of these numerous
rock bars without any danger.
The
Rue du Faubourg St Antoine, the most picturesque of this neighbourhood,
will allow you to head towards La Nation among craftsmen.
Routes

lovers of leisurely walks :

a bit of peace and quiet, try Rue du Faubourg St Antoine,
delightfully picturesque with numerous narrow lanes and charming
inner courtyards.

The
main cultural attraction of the 11th arrondissement is the
Place de la Bastille, where there is a monument celebrating
the new-found freedom after the storming of the Bastille in
1789.

lovers of shopping :
On
going down the small roads perpendicular to Rue de la Roquette,

).
